HIKNIA (הִכְנִיעַ)

To Bend the Knee and Align

Pressure gripping my desires,

Fighting through the need for control.

What if? But why not now?

Pressure rising through the hand of the clock.

Tick… Tock…

Now? But when, Lord?

Suffocating through the cracks of my desires,

Lost in cycles of deep thoughts.

My soul yearns for control,

Feelings clouding my mind.

Pressure… blowing through the cracks of my mind.

Oh Lord, take my fragile soul,

Wrap it within Your gentle hands.

Surrender wrestles with my desires;

The flesh screams through the stillness of the spirit.

Oh Lord, bend me to my knees.

Rescue me from my own destruction.

Pressure… whispering through my carnal ears,

Swept away by glimpses of what my eyes behold.

Oh Lord, bend me to my knees.

Rescue me from my own destruction.

A battle between desire and surrender.
